This began as a free-for-use photo by photographer Ben Jenkins. The simplicity of the composition and the subtle golden glow of last light on a barn owl was too much to resist. I very much enjoyed utilizing the complement pair of violet and yellow, even though they are somewhat muted in this piece. Those claws, though!
