Painted for an annual Tuckerman Ravine art show, this painting depicts the view down into the ravine from the top of the intersection between the Tuckerman Ravine Trail and the Alpine Garden Trail. The brilliant sun on the ridge at the top brightens the stones and alpine grasses by the weathered White Mountains trail sign for hikers to follow on their way down to Pinkham Notch, or on to the summit of Mount Washington.
