I found this bright little daffodil along the roadside while walking the dog last spring. It had been plucked from a clump of them by one of the neighborhood children and left in the grass by the sidewalk. I couldn't bear to leave it, having just opened up, fresh and new. I snatched it up and back home popped it into a small-size Glenlivet bottle (empty, of course!) where it cheered my kitchen for a couple of weeks.
