My friend Janette provided the references for this stunning area of Acadia along the Maine coast. The hike along the Great Head Trail provides incredible ocean views and expansive areas of glacial rock slabs that catch the light in the sun. This composition allowed me the opportunity to push the light and shadow toward bright, saturated color to leave the viewer with the impression of midday coastal sunshine.
