Lake Opechee is across the street from our house, a small, 426-acre lake snuggled between the massive Winnepesaukee and long, reaching Lake Winnisquam. Our across-the-street neighbors took us on a sunset boat ride last summer. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I snapped a photo of Lakeport from the rippling waves; pink, peach and yellow skies and the spire of the Lakeport Baptist Church greeted us from the eastern shore.
